SEOguru Bankura Trip (22-24th December 2006)
The SEOguru team decided to visit Bankura, a place
important for its history and rich cultural heritage, for its annual
vacation.
Bankura is a district located in the western part
of the Indian State of West Bengal. It is a part of Bardhaman Division
of the State and included in the area known as "Rarh"
in Bengal. Bankura town is the district head quarter of the Bankura.
Bishnupur (or Vishnupur) is a sub divisional town
of Bankura district. It was the capital of the Mallabhum kingdom,
once the Hindu dynasties in Bengal. Bishnupur is famous for the
Terracotta Temples, and Baluchari Saree that bear signs of traditional
artworks of this area.
